Provide drawings and details, design specifications, design estimates, field installation oversight, time and materials management for turnkey projects. Provide designs in accordance with ASME, ABEC, NMTBA, NAS, ISA, NACE and NEC specifications.

Machine Tools:

  • Implement machining and assembly processes for CNC and conventional machine tool modifications. Analyze machine forces and deflections, determine load requirements and cutting duties. Size spindle and servo-motors. Design structural modifications to recondition and retrofit conventional multi-axis machine tools to aerospace CNC machining tolerances. Establish manufacturing and assembly process controls.

Industrial Machinery Design:

  • Experienced in design of mechanical conveying equipment, high speed presses, high speed cutters, mechanical timing devices, cams, pneumatic conveyors, heavy load capacity hydraulic machinery and rolling equipment, bridge cranes and monorail cranes. Design drive systems using power screws, bull gears, chain drives, belt drives, gear reducers and variable speed drives. Strong experience in shaft design, couplings, clutches, brakes, shaft bearings, packed and mechanical seals. Experienced in lubricant technology and lubrication feed systems. Experienced in kinematics and positioning.

Hydraulic and Pneumatic Equipment:

  • Experienced in design and sizing of hydraulic power units, counterbalance mechanisms, hydraulic and pneumatic system controls involving electrically actuated valves, complex hydraulic circuitry, spur gear pumps, variable displacement pumps, internal gear pumps, vane motors, gerotors and gerollers.

Heat Exchangers / Process Vessels:

  • Implement design of dryer ovens, furnaces, superheaters, vaporizers, jacketed vessels. Size plate & frame, shell and tube heat exchangers. Analyze transport properties and implement heat transfer requirements.

Instrumentation:

  • Implement process and equipment controls using proximity switches, position switches, vacuum switches, remote switches, piloted control valves, solenoid valves.

Engineering Materials:

  • Experienced in machining properties of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Experienced in applications of corrosion and abrasion resistant materials and coatings. Experienced in the application of non-sparking and chemically resistant alloys and plastics.
