Job requirements:

- B.S. Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Nuclear or Chemical Engineering (required) / Masters Degree is preferred
- Engineer-in-Training Certificate (required)
- Minimum 4 years professional work experience or 2 years with a Masters Degree (required).
- Analysis experience shall include fundamental calculations, both manual and FEA, with some structural and thermal involvement.
- Applicant should be interested in growing into the position of packaging engineer of nuclear packaging, which would eventually lead to a project engineer or project manager position in nuclear packaging. This position would require travel, approximately 10%.
- The packaging engineer position shall encompass the design, analysis, specification, and layout of nuclear materials shipping packages:
- Work with customers and government regulators are required.
- Ability to direct a team of engineers, designers and drafters is required.
- Will have to produce formal calculations and write performance specifications, reports, and manuals.
- Familiarity with various materials and their uses and problems.
- Manage the fabrication of capital equipment in shop floor environments. This may involve dealing with fabrication contracts and resolving welding, machining, tolerancing and material problems.
- Familiarity with welding and inspection standards.
- Work with codes, national standards and federal regulations.
